- Go to Upgrade RAC Server:
- For fewer remote computers
- We connect to a remote computer
- Run RAC Server
- Click on the menu: Help at: Enter Registration Data
- Insert the new registration information in the dialog box and
confirm with the button OK
- To update the version to the new version, click the Help menu
click on: Start Automatic Update
- If the update is OK, it will unplug the moment connection to
a remote system
- Alternatively, to check the installed version, click on the
Help menu to: About RAC Server Program
- For multiple remote computers . We will not
Perform on a remote computer all in RAC Client
. So we will not disturb users on a remote
computer.
- Setting Licensing Data
- Click on the menu: Settings at: Settings on the tab: Registration
of RAC Server
- Click: Add
- In the dialog we insert the original license data for the
current version
- Check the checkbox: Use in automatic registration
- Check the checkbox: Licence details to be replaced for:
- Insert new license details for a newer version and confirm
press the OK button
- If we have multiple different license keys, we repeat the
process to all license data.
- Confirm with the OK button
- In the second part, we automatically activate the license in
the selected service keys on remote computers. Because there is
not yet a service for automatic registration of license data, we
will use the service: Command prompt . If the service
is not allowed we will use: Process Control or
View Only.
- First try on one computer
- In the Connections list, we mark the connection and start
the service Command prompt and when the connection
is established, the window We close the Command prompt.
- Check License Licensing:
- We connect to the remote computer and run the automatic
update in Help menu - Start automatic update. Additionally,
we may check whether the RAC Server is turned on automatic
update and is set correctly.
- After checking, we can run the Command prompt
service on multiple computers
- In the Connections list, we mark more computers and run
Command prompt
- When the link is established, all windows are closed in
the menu: Active Connection - Close All
- After this step, the new license details should be used
on remote computers
- If the automatic update is set to default, Update will be
updated to the latest version according to the license details
scheduled on Tuesday or Thursday at 12 o'clock
